Create an agent
Build a voice AI agent from the dashboard — pick a channel, describe it, and generate.
An agent is the voice AI that talks to your customers. Create one from the dashboard, test it, then point it at a campaign, a phone number, or your website.
Before you start
Decide these first — Intrlume uses them to generate a better first draft:
| Decision | What to prepare |
|---|---|
| Channel | Outbound, inbound, or web |
| Industry & use case | e.g. lead qualification, appointment booking, reminders, support |
| Voice & language | A voice, a primary language, and an optional second language |
| Goal | One sentence on what the agent should achieve |
| Knowledge base (optional) | Documents the agent can answer from |
New accounts don't have a phone number yet, so start with a Web agent — it works in the browser with no number. Add numbers later for phone calls.
Step 1 — Open the agent builder
- Sign in at app.intrlume.tech.
- Go to Agents in the sidebar.
- Click Quick Create to create an agent.
Step 2 — Choose a channel
Pick how people reach the agent.
| Channel | Use it when | Needs |
|---|---|---|
| Outbound | The agent calls your contacts | A provisioned phone number |
| Inbound | People call your number | A phone number (DID) linked to the agent |
| Web | Visitors talk to it on your website | Nothing — works instantly |
Choose Web to get started right away. Outbound and inbound agents need a phone number — email admin@intrlume.tech to have one added to your workspace.
Step 3 — Pick an industry and use case
Choose your industry, then the use case that fits — lead qualification, appointment booking, reminders, support, and more. This tailors the generated prompt and conversation flow to your scenario.
Step 4 — Fill in the details
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Agent Name | The name the agent introduces itself with |
| Company Name | Your business name |
| Voice & Language | A voice, a primary language, and an optional second language it can switch to |
| Goal | One or two sentences on what the call should achieve |
| Knowledge Base (optional) | Attach documents the agent can answer from |
| Tone & Style (optional) | How the agent should sound — e.g. "warm and conversational" |
Example goal:
Book solar demo appointments, confirm time slots, and handle rescheduling in Hindi and English.
Step 5 — Generate
Click Generate Agent. Intrlume writes the prompt, greeting, and conversation flow and builds the agent — the status moves from generating to ready, usually in moments. You'll land in the visual workflow editor, where you can refine any part.
Step 6 — Test it
For a Web agent, start a web call in the browser and talk to it live — no phone needed.
For a phone agent, use Test Call to have it ring your number.
After a test, open Call Logs to see the transcript, recording, and captured data.
