Model tiers

What an agent's model tier is, which languages each one speaks, and how your country decides which you get.

Every agent runs on a model tier. The tier decides two things: which languages the agent can speak, and what its calls cost per minute.

The tiers

TierLanguages
IndicIndian languages, plus English
GlobalUS English

Both tiers speak English, but not the same English. Indic offers Indian-accented English; Global offers US English. The language list names which one you're picking.

Your country decides which you get

The tier menu is filtered by your workspace's country, set during onboarding and changeable in Settings → Business Profile.

A tier only appears if it can actually serve calls for your region, so you can't select one that wouldn't work. Two people in different countries see different menus — that's expected.

In most workspaces this means there's exactly one tier to pick, and it's already selected. The control exists because the set grows as we add regions.

Where you set it

Open the agent, go to the Profile tab, and find Model Tier at the top of the Voice card. It sits directly above Language because the two are linked.

You can also set it when you first describe an agent — see Create an agent.

Changing the tier reloads the language list, because tiers differ in which languages they speak. If your agent's current language isn't offered by the tier you switch to, pick a new one before saving.
